Great sleep, Winds, Lloydminster, Hills and Lakes
July 5th
- day 39
Had a great sleep through a gigantic thunderstorm last night. Fought winds for 35 miles into Lloydminster and took a break until 6. Finished the day at 66 miles and camped on top of a ridge on the
side of the road overlooking rolling hills and lakes.

Stealth Camp!
July 3
- day 37
Woke up in scorching heat again. Rode about 15 miles into
langham, a nice town with an actually functioning community. In
total, we rode 84 miles and ended in battlefords. Saw the movie get
smart and had one of our most successful stealth camps.

71 miles
July 2
- Day 36
Rode 71 miles from Bladworth to Saskatoon. It's a shame we couldn't
have spent more time in saskatoon because it seemed like a nice city.

Storms, Kind People of Bethune, Vicky, FREE PEN!
July 1 - Day 35
Rough nights sleep. Had to move the tent in the middle of the night because of a storm.
The day improved when the kind people of Bethune gave us a free breakfast (probably because we looked so helpless and horrible.) Thanks to Vicky and friends for a wonderful gift!
I also got a free pen from an auto shop. Free pens are fantastic.
At 20 miles our mood has shifted and we're now pretty pissed at the side wind attempting to blow us into the highway. There has been a haze in the air all day that smells like a camp fire. Probably a forest fire miles away. The worst thing about slow tedious riding is fighting the urge to look at the mileage reading on the cycling computer.
The wind died eventually and we rode in Bladworth finishing the day at 66 miles. It's pretty scary riding on these highways around nightfall.

Diner Breakfast, Dwight and his Wife
June 30 - Day 34
Finally had an indoor diner breakfast which hit the spot. About to take care of business in the library, then hit the road. Hopefully the wind will hold off again.
Dwight and his wife from Milestone were nice enough to let us use their internet. Thank you!
Passed through Regina and it was nice to see a big city again. Set up camp in Bethune with 70 miles done.
